Welcome to Literacy Camp!
Literacy Camp is a fun and engaging way to support the development of phonological awareness and early reading skills. Through stories, circle time, themed crafts, books, and games, we will have fun while developing your child’s ability to play with sound (segmenting and blending), play with rhyme (rhyme awareness), identify and count syllables (syllable awareness), sound out words (decoding) practice spelling and understand what they read (reading comprehension). Children between the ages of 5 and 8 are welcome to develop these early literacy skills or further enhance the skills they already have!
Lead by a Registered Speech-Language Pathologist with the support of talented Communicative Disorders Assistants and volunteers, this program will run over five mornings (9-12, 15 hours of service), with each day centred around a fun and engaging theme!
Call 705-302-3444 or email admin@madelaineingles.com, or register below! When you register, you will be asked to complete an intake questionnaire and someone from our office will follow up with you to review your intake and confirm enrollment.
*Please note: Group therapy programs are contingent upon finding well-matched, similar aged peers with similar skills and goals. As such, if enrollment is less than 4 participants and/or registrants are not well matched, sessions may be cancelled and payments will be refunded.
*Attendance: This is a five day camp, there are no refunds or make up sessions available for missed programming. Written home-based activities may be provided if appropriate in the event of a missed session due to illness.
