Amina Ahmed, Communicative Disorders Assistant, Durham College

Amina Ahmed, CDA

Amina is a graduate of both the University of Guelph and the Communicative Disorders Assistant program at Durham College. She joins us with a wealth of experience in the areas of preschool speech and language, autism spectrum disorders, motor speech disorders, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and parent coaching. Amina is a fun, engaging, enthusiastic clinician who makes therapy feel safe and fun! Amina offers in-home therapy in Toronto and Scarborough. She also offers virtual therapy, both individual and group-based, anywhere in Ontario and under the supervision of a registered Speech-Language Pathologist. Amina is the driving force behind our Conversation Station online group program! Her services are often covered by extended health benefits plans.

Nikolina Kapor, SLP

Nikolina Kapor is a bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist who completed a Bachelor’s degree in Cognitive Science of Language at McMaster University. She also holds a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Toronto. Nikolina is registered in good standing at the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO). Nikolina comes with a wealth of experience in the areas of preschool and school-aged speech and language, literacy, articulation, fluency, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and social communication disorders. Nikolina provides in-clinic therapy in Barrie as well as virtual therapy anywhere in Ontario. She strives to create functional goals through creative and integrative activities. Nikolina eagerly engages with clients in fun and effective ways and aims to make intervention meaningful and personalized.

Nikolina is located at our Barrie clinic and is available to provide assessments!

Kailee Melton, CDA

Kailee Melton has completed her Bachelor’s degree in Cognitive Science of Language from McMaster University and holds a certification as a Communicative Disorders Assistant from Georgian College. Her expertise lies in Autism Spectrum Disorder, and she channels her passion into working with children with ASD and early learners. Kailee is dedicated to fostering communication skills within an inclusive and play-based framework. She takes joy in finding unique approaches tailored to each child’s strengths. Kailee is thrilled to contribute her skills and enthusiasm as a valuable member of the team.

Kailee is located at our Barrie clinic and has weekday availability!

Nicole Sestak, SLP

Nicole has completed her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Neuroscience from Wilfrid Laurier University, as well as a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Toronto. She has a range of experience, including the areas of preschool and school-age speech and language, articulation, social communication disorders, and parent coaching. She is passionate about fostering a fun, inclusive environment for intervention that is meaningful and functional for each child. Her goal is to ensure every child enjoys coming to therapy! Nicole is available to provide in-clinic assessment and therapy in Barrie as well as virtually anywhere in Ontario.
